Financial Journalist

What you'll do

Report and comment on the financial decisions of governments, banks and investors. Interpret and report stock market data. Investigate and report on the financial successes or failures of organisations.

Where you'll work

In newsrooms, in TV and radio studios, at home, out and about at meetings and press conferences. No two days will be the same.

Salary range

£19,000 – £51,000+

Skills you'll need

Excellent written and oral communication
A head for numbers
An analytical brain
Ability to assess complex information and convey it accurately and accessibly to your audience
Must enjoy investigating and finding stuff out that others don’t know
Must be trustworthy and have a knack of making people tell them things
