What you'll do

You’ve heard the phrase “It’s not rocket science”? Well, this is! Rocket scientists – or aerospace engineers, to give them their official name – design, build and maintain planes, spacecraft and satellites.

Where you'll work

Mainly in offices but also in aircraft workshops, production hangars or aeronautical laboratories.

Salary range

£25,000 – £60,000+

Skills you'll need

Strong maths and physics knowledge
A fascination for flying
Must enjoy figuring out how stuff works
